At CANTEX, we are powering up with lots of changes in 2018. All these changes are part of our efforts to keep up with change and growth and to empower all our sales channels with the tools necessary to meet our customers’ needs.
At corporate, we are currently in the middle of a JD Edwards upgrade to provide better more efficient and user-friendlier solutions to our staff and channel partners so they have more time for customers. To make things even better and faster, our new agent portal is in the final testing stage to be released in the next month or so. The agent portal will give our agents and sales team log-in access to our new website for quick access to order entry, shipping orders, transfer orders, reports and inquiries, order confirmations and a user-friendly online catalog with better product information all in one place!
On the manufacturing side, we are in the midst of an expansion project at the Kingman, Arizona Plant for both pipe and elbow capacity. Expansion of the Kingman plant includes the following: a new extruder; new & increased blending capacity; new sweep and elbow machines; and new sweep and elbow automation. Similarly, we are in the process of expanding the Mineral Wells, Texas warehouse facility so we are able to stock even more products for faster delivery, enhancing our nationwide distribution system. At the Mineral Wells plant, we are also adding new molds and automation to the CANTEX EZ Box line of PVC electrical switch, outlet and ceiling boxes. We are also working toward reopening the Rolla, Missouri Plant for additional manufacturing and distribution capabilities to support our growing sales and improve our service levels as business increases.
On the marketing front, you can expect lots of new marketing tools in 2018. We are working towards making sure the marketing toolbox is full for everyone in our sales channel. For example, we already launched our brand new screen responsive website that is great for finding what you need in the field on any size device. You will also find the user-experience for finding products, product information and agent information greatly improved. Similarly, better product photos and improved product information and website design will help present CANTEX products with more marketing appeal. Behind the scenes, a Search Engine Optimization (SEO) team is working on getting our products to page one of Google and other search engines. Additionally, we’ve established a significant social media presence on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and LinkedIn with thousands of followers in the industry that we are targeting with videos and product information posts. We are also in the process of revamping all our product literature with better designs and improved product information. Our new full-line EZ Box catalog should be available very soon with more new literature to follow.
