What are the different types of PVC Pipe?

Schedule 40 PVC Conduit is used in walls, floors and ceilings in accordance with NEC 352. According to NEC 352 it can also be buried directly into the earth, encased in concrete, and used in areas exposed to direct sunlight. For areas subject to physical damage, you should use Schedule 80 PVC Conduit for the same applications (above).

PVC Utility Duct is designed for direct burial and encased burial applications. It is not designed for use above ground or in walls, floors or ceilings. For more specifics and technical data on the differences between DB and EB PVC Utility Duct you can click on the Utility Duct link above to get to specific products in our online catalog. Flexible Conduit or ENT Electrical Nonmetallic Tubing is a high performance low cost alternative to electrical metallic tubing. It can be used in ceilings, walls and slabs and it is also concrete tight when used with the proper solvent cement. The proper solvent for ENT Electrical Nonmetallic Tubing is CANTEX #50 ENT Cement. Regular PVC Cement is too aggressive to use with ENT Flexible Conduit.

CANTEX’s PVC Horizontal Directional Drilling Conduit is used to connect underground pipes, wires, cables, and ducts with an HDD trenchless underground drill technique that minimizes damage to infrastructure and environment. CANTEX’s CAN>LOC® and CAN>GRIP™ Horizontal Directional Drilling Conduit systems offer countless benefits likes faster installation, reduced labor costs, strength, flexibility, and ease of transport.
